A Simple Lens
Year: 2025
Duration: 17 minutes 20 seconds
A Simple Lens revisits the tactile and technical processes of historical image-making, echoing the experimental spirit of early Technicolor processes. Each scene is captured three times - through red, green, and blue filters - then layered to reconstruct a single full-colour digital image. Through this imperfect compilation, the film becomes both disorienting and mesmerising. The resultant experiment shows what can be possible when venturing beyond direct image reproduction.
